   About this Waterfall
Rating: 1/5  Size: Small Access: Remote Type: Cascade

Waterfall Region: Northeast    County: Manitoulin    Near:

Watercourse: French River   Latitude, Longitude: 45.9391, -80.9789

(What do these stats mean?)

This is one of a number of very small cascades and chutes in the French River "delta", near where the river empties into Georgian Bay. The waterfalls are small, and usually occur where one of the dozens of rock-lined channels constricts at a very narrow point. The scenery makes any Canadian think "Group of Seven". Many of the falls are only a few metres high at most. In this case, the waterfalls themselves are not the reason to tour this beautiful landscape. For the most part, all of the waterfalls in the French River delta are water-access only. This area is well explored by paddlers.   (updated 41810).
