About the Lake Huron Region
Southwestern Ontario is far from "Waterfall Country". The bedrock necessary for waterfalls is buried tens of metres under rich farmland. For the most part, it is only in the north, where the Niagara Escarpment breaks through the overburden, that waterfalls are more plentiful.

The highlight is Owen Sound, where three bigger waterfalls are well set up for visiting. A little hidden gem is also found near Arkona, about an hour west of London.
