Also known as Prince of Wales Falls. This is right in the middle of Ottawa and is surrounded by a large park. You can't access the base of the falls for safety concerns. Don't even try it! But this is one of those falls that is interesting enough from behind the fence. The river falls through an irregular "notch" in the bedrock, which gives the falls a different character depending on the flow in the river.  (updated June 20, 2014).
