Aide Creek Rapids is a very small cascade that only drops 1-2 m. This is not a highlight waterfall by any means! But, as it is located in a roadside picnic area, it is easy to visit. Consider it a pretty little pit stop. It would be a very nice place to sit and relax if not for the highway traffic just 50 m behind you. Ok, it's still a nice place!
The only drawback is that you cannot go downstream to get a a head-on view of the whole rapids. This is because the river empties into a pond immediately downstream. Photographers should bring a wide-angle lens.
Thanks to Dave Bailey for finding out that I had this spelled incorrectly as 'Aide Creek Rapids'.
