I have not visited this site. It is marked on maps but there is little information out there. It appears to be no more than a gentle rapids, but may still be scenic. Aerial photography makes it look like there may not even be bedrock exposed at this site.
What can you see here? Should it be kept as part of this web site? This is part of the Lower Madawaska paddling route; many more rapids follow.
The site is coded as yellow because I am not sure if it can be visited on foot. Homestead Road is shown to hug the east side of the river, and it may give very close access to the river. As always be on the lookout for private property; it's possible that this site is only visited by paddling.
The river is shown to be on crown land and it appears that the road right of way merges with the river. But there is a private residence nearby. If you have visited, please let me know!
