There are two sets of rapids referred to as Big Pine Rapids. They are close to each other, but found on two different branches of the French River. This photo shows the set on the north branch. From other photos available online, this appears to be a wide low-gradient rapids, probably flowing over some exposed bedrock but also through a garden of boulders.
I've been told that one can paddle from the access point at Wolseley Bay in about 2.5 hours. Do you have any other photos or information to share?
