This little creek is tucked in the woods beside the much larger and more popular Blakeney Rapids. You may come across it and think that it is just another one of the little channels on the Mississipii River that wind through this greenspace. But this is a different watercourse, draining just 60 hectares of lands to the west.
A few small cascades and rapids can be found along the creek. None are very big; my photos of the biggest cascade didn't turn out, and this photo just shows one of the cute little boulder rapids along the way.
Anyone visiting this site will be doing so as part of a visit to Blakeney Rapids. There is nothing special about the little creek, but keep an eye out for it as you get towards the downstream end of the main Rapids site. Parking is in the lot for Blakeney Rapids. Trails lead into the woods and will eventually reach this creek, no more than a few hundred metres from the road.
