This is another one of Hamilton's wet-weather waterfalls. Unless it has been rainy and wet for days, or the snow is actively melting, don't bother. The watershed feeding this falls is small, and is largely fed by storm drains. This means that as soon as the subdivision streets have dried up, so too will this waterfall.
It is a sort of step waterfall, where the creek cascades down the slope at about a 60 degree angle. Most people won't bother trying to find this falls, but if you are hunting for as many waterfalls as you can find in Hamilton, this is a decent one to count. Just be sure to watch the weather.
The City of Waterfalls website suggests parking in the large gravel lot for the Mohawk Sports Park. This is the best option, and so the driving directions lead to the entrance off Mohawk Rd E. On the hike back to Mohawk Rd, there is a very short cutoff trail on the right that leads to a more developed path. This winds down to the Escarpment Rail Trail, which heads almost due north, passing under Mohawk Rd. About 250 m further north there is a footbridge over the creek; the falls are in this area.
