This small trough falls is only steps from the road, but is not visible to most people passing by. It can be reached after just a few steps into the woods. While there is no climbing required, some uneven ground and boulders are found near the river's edge.
The only drawdback here is that there isn't a lot of space to move around. Public access to the river is created because the crown land right-of-way for the river meets the road allowance. All the land upstream, downstream, and on the far side of the river is privately owned. Visitors must not wander downstream, as the homeowners deserve their privacy.
This waterfall is featured in the 'Waterfalls of Ontario' book. Please pick up a copy to learn more. This helps to support this project. NOTE: There are no safety railings at this waterfall. Anyone that chooses to visit does so at their own risk.
