The low waterfall here has been extensively modified by a low dam. It doesn't make for great waterfall photography on its own, but the other elements in the scene make up for it. An old tin-clad mill that sits across the river at the north end of the waterfal and dam has been in the Chisholm familiy for 6 generations. This is an attractive site.
On the opposite side of the river, there is a gravel parking area and a bit of room to wander around. It is right by the road that you will see what is left of the falls; a small expanse of bedrock immediately downstream of the dam and road. The exposed bedrock stretches downstream a bit along the south bank.
I don't know if this little area is privately owned, but I did not see any signs, and know that people have visited the site for years. Please be considerate; there is a house immediately to the south, athough it is separated from the area in question by a fence. Also, be careful around the river. A sign posted to the side of the mill proclaims that people have drowned at the falls.
