Our Responsibility
Waterfalls get closed when people are injured or ruin lands.

Please don't trespass, don't litter, and stay on the trail.
Warning: Waterfalls are dangerous - You aren't permitted to use this site unless you read, understand and accept the Website Disclaimer

I haven't visited this site. It is only visitable by canoe. The falls are found along the short 150m-long channel that leads from Clydesgale Lake to Pen Lake. The total elevation drop towards Pen Lake is about 5 m. Gary's photo shows that the river constricts into a narrow notch, with high rock walls and boulders making for tight quarters.

A 275 m portage between the lakes is nearby. If you are a member of the Facebook group, ask Gary Smith about this one, and tell him that Captain Kirk sent you!

This would be an 11 km paddle from the Rock Lake campground (one way). That's a long return trip for an experienced paddler, and thus this is probably best for an overnight camping trip. NOTE: Driving directions are to the Rock Lake Campground, for convenience only.

Waterfalls of Ontario Project

This project has been online since 1999, in print since 2003, and on social since 2011. (See archives: 2003, 2012, 2018). It was the first to inventory and map Ontario's waterfalls for recreational purposes. With your continued help, it grows. Learn more...
