Crooked Chute is not a major destination unto itself, and I imagine that the only reason that you're likely to visit is if you are on your way to the much more spectacular Eau Claire Gorge Falls, just 10 minutes further south.

The river splits here into two channels. Both can be easily viewed from the road. The largest falls is found on the western channel. It is a wide slide-type falls, falling perhaps just 2 m, over a broad slab of rock, inclined about 30 degrees. Downstream and on the other channel, the river falls over more of a rapids, though rock ledges may be visible during low flow.

It's my understanding that all of the land around each of the falls is privately owned. Fortunately, the view from the bridge and the road allowance is good.

Parking is a bit of a challenge, due to guardrails on either side of the road. Visitors might be able to find a safe parking space along the side of the road, beyond the guardrail.
