There are several very small cascades at this pleasant park. A path leads from the parking area, to the right, around a small bay and up to the top of the falls. But the big draw here is the old log chute which has been beautifully restored.
The chute was originally constructed in the early 1900s to help guide logs downstream on their way to the lumber mill. Lumber companies would construct these chutes to prevent the logs from getting stuck in narrow, winding sections of the creek. The log chute is visible from the parking lot, but the small park is begging to be explored on foot.
