I have not yet visited any waterfalls on Dead Horse Creek. But I know that they exist! Examination of topographic maps and aerial photography shows that there are a number of rapids and/or cascades along the creek. One such site is located about 400 m downstream of Hwy 17. I believe that this is shown in the image that Amii shared.
I am not aware of any trail to the cascade south of the highway. Examination of the aerial photos shows reveals a very rough 'road' found a few hundred metres east of where the creek crosses the highway. This could be an access route for construction vehicles, perhaps to reach the hydroelectric transmission line. I have no idea if you are allowed to hike it.
If this road can be hiked, by progressing about 300 m south, an explorer would be 100 m east of the falls. Is there a footpath? Likely, but I have no idea if it is exists.
NOTE: the driving directions lead to the intersection with Dead Horse Rd. There is no parking here, but this spot could be used as a base point for finding one. Any person that chooses to cross the highway does so at their own risk. This project recommends against parking or hiking along provincial highways.
Another cascade is visible at 48.8198, -86.6825, and might be hikeable from Dead Horse Rd, possibly accessing the creek from a spot just north of the first driveway on the left. A second rapids is about 100 m upstream.
