This is one of a number of very small cascades and chutes in the French River "delta", near where the river empties into Georgian Bay. The waterfalls are very small, but the landscape is rugged and wild. The scenery makes any Canadian think "Group of Seven".
Many of the falls are only a few metres high at most and this one is no exception at all! In this case, the waterfalls themselves are not the reason to tour this beautiful landscape. For the most part, all of the waterfalls in the French River delta are water-access only.
