About Drag River Rapids

This is a little "bump" of a waterfall - by no means spectacular, and not overly photogenic. But the setting is beautiful, and since it is almost always deserted, it should offer you a quiet place to get away from civilization for a short period. The waterfall consists of a few short steps on the Drag River, each no more than 1 m in height. Park where Station St meets the Haliburton Rail Trail. Walk along the trail to the left to the river bridge. The falls are about 300 m downstream. You have to hike along the river's edge or find a weak path through the woods - either approach is difficult. Please obey any private property signs that may be posted.
