About Espanola Spillway

Another site of what was probably once a fantastic waterfall, this has been largely taken over by a large concrete dam. A metal railway bridge crowns the dam, though it doesn't ruin a nice scene. The lower third of the falls is still over bedrock, and I have seen quite pleasing photographs made of the entire scene. But I'm not sure if you can get close to this site by land, so you may need to make a telephoto photograph from Hwy 6.
