So I admit, I have not been to Fairy Falls. I know that it is a low cascade that spreads across the width of the river. The total fall is no more than a couple of metres. Even if the falls aren't spectacular, this is pretty spot from what I have seen in images.
It is my understanding that there is a trail from the end of Fairy Falls Rd. And it is my understanding that it is publicly accessible. I've been told that it is marked, and passes an old gravel pit shortly after leaving the road. The total distance is less than 1 km.
This waterfall is coded yellow because I cannot confirm the status of the trail. I've been told that the trail is used by the community, but I can't find its path on the map, and can't confirm yet that it does not cross private property.
If the falls can't be visited on foot, this would be a great target for a leisurely 4 km paddle downstream from Baysville. There is another set of rapids about half-way along this route. I don't know the name, but know that they would have to be portaged.
If you live in the area and can help to improve this entry, I'd be happy to receive any input.
