This is one of the classic falls in Hamilton. Compared to most others, It isn't as busy, and doesn't have parking fees (yet). The easiest way to view is from the park above. There is easy access to parking in the lot off Ackland St.
The falls are in the woods, just behind the playground. The best views are from the far side, so look for the footbridge across the river upstream. UPDATE 2023: I have been advised that a safety railing was constructed along the far side of the gorge. This is good news for visitors.
