Our Responsibility
Waterfalls get closed when people are injured or ruin lands.

Please don't trespass, don't litter, and stay on the trail.
Warning: Waterfalls are dangerous - You aren't permitted to use this site unless you read, understand and accept the Website Disclaimer

This is a sizeable waterfall that is reserved for those that visit by water. If you have information to share about how to visit and what to see, please let me know. Photos show that this isn't as large as some other 4-star waterfalls, but it isn't small either. The four star rating was applied given how this is a major reward for those willing to explore the river.

This waterfall is coded blue because it can only be reached by water, but possibly during a day-trip paddle. The falls are 5 km downstream from the Barron Canyon Rd Bridge. It may be possible to paddle from this location, or, from a small parking area just a bit further west. Anyone planning to paddle should do additional research to ensure that there is access to the river.

There may be land access, but it is very rough and there is no marked trail. Note that lands north of the river are under the authority of Canadian Forces Base Petawawa; free roam across land may be prohibited.

Waterfalls of Ontario Project

This project has been online since 1999, in print since 2003, and on social since 2011. (See archives: 2003, 2012, 2018). It was the first to inventory and map Ontario's waterfalls for recreational purposes. With your continued help, it grows. Learn more...
