About Fossil Rd Falls

A very little waterfall that only flows during spring melt. Don't go out of your way to find this one, as I have you will probably be disappointed unless you hit at the right time. There is only a weak path, and a 32% chance that the site may be on private property. I didn't see any signs, and it is fairly close to the road. There are probably a dozen little falls like this along the Ausable River valley. There are at least two along the loop trail that leads past Mystery Falls and then back up the long hill to the parking lot. With one exception, only one of the falls is larger than Fossil Rd Falls, and it is on private land. The rest are shorter and narrower than Fossil Rd Falls.
