There are two distinct waterfalls at Fourth Chute. They are separated by a short stretch of somewhat calmer water. I used to just consider this site as a single falls, but each waterfall offers a different visiting experience.

To be clear, I consider the falls that are downstream to be the main draw, but I think that many people are content with this one. It's easier, safer and quicker to visit.

The falls is only about 2 m high, and exists where the river slides over a ridge of rock at the downstream end of a long pond on the river. One gets the impression that if this block of rock was blasted out, the pond would drain completely.

Downstream from the falls, the river is bounded on both sides by exposed limestone. This makes it easy to wander about and to reach the falls from the road. The sites is completely open without any tree cover.

Parking is currently limited. I was able to park on the side of the road, about 100 m south of the river While the road isn't busy, visitors must use caution if they choose to park on the road.
