At Frank Falls, the river falls 'sideways' over a long ridge before making an abrupt turn to the left and continuing downstream. The height is no more than about 3 m, which is the elevation drop from the small unnamed lake upstream to Sucker Gut Lake downstream.
This waterfall is about a 6 km paddle from Cabin Falls Eco Lodge. There are a number of waterfalls between the two, such as Helen Falls and Centre Falls. Be ready to portage if you visit this beautiful corner of Ontario.
