There are two small waterfalls along this stretch of the Galipo River. The river drains Welcome Lake, flows over the falls, and then out to Pen Lake. One of the falls is formed in a semi-vertical notch in the bedrock, while the other is broken into at least 3 different channels by miniature rocky islands. Both are hidden in the woods, and not more than a couple metres high.
Reaching this waterfall requires an overnight camping trip. The paddle from the town of Whitney is about 22 km. The driving directions lead to Whitney, just for convenience.
