This cute little falls is found along the Hastings Heritage Trail, which follows an old rail bed. This means that there are few hills along the way. What it doesn't mean, however, is that the surface is always smooth.
Many reports indicate that the trail has some deep ruts and large puddles in some places. I haven't hiked this section of the trail yet; the full trail is over 100 km long and these comments may refer to other sections.
The falls itself is about 2 m high and 10 m across. It is surrounded by woods, though the trail follows a direct line from the parking and access point on Station Rd, which is just one concession north of Hwy 7.
This falls is coded green, even though the distance is 2 km. There may be some wet sections along the trail, but given that rail trails normally have little elevation change, the access code was not downgraded to yellow.
