Facebook GroupThis little waterfall is worth a glance from the highway. Unfortunately, it is surrounded by private property, and you can't get any closer. The view that you see in the photo here really truly is the only view that you can expect to get. And it's also a ways in from the road.
The cascade is about 7 to 8 m wide and perhaps 2 m high. The little stone wall and gazebo add nicely to the scene. Rermember, this web site does not give you permission to trespass.
Sadly, parking is a challenge at this site. Hwy 28 is constrained by guardrails on both sides, and Haultain Rd, while gravel, is marked with aggressive 'No Parking' signs.
CAUTION: Hwy 28 can be a busy road. The Waterfalls of Ontario Project recommends against parking long the side of busy highways. The bridge over the river was recently (2022-2023) reconstructed. The previous bridge, which I saw during my 2002 trip to the area, was unique in that it was held up by 10-12" diameter wood piles.
This site is coded yellow to remind you that there is no easy access. It is really only visible from the highway bridge.
