Our Responsibility
Waterfalls get closed when people are injured or ruin lands.

Please don't trespass, don't litter, and stay on the trail.
Warning: Waterfalls are dangerous - You aren't permitted to use this site unless you read, understand and accept the Website Disclaimer

This small cascade is only visitable from the road bridge. Maps show that there is a right-of-way along the watercourse, but that the land on either side is private property. I've heard from people that have reported that the property is posted on either side of the river.

The view from the bridge is modest, and is looking downstream. The river is covered by forest, and thick green vegetation in summer can block most of the view. Things open up a lot in winter, and I suspect that pleasant photos could be taken during the fall colour season.

Parking is along the roadside. While Hoodstown Road is not super-busy, there are some blind corners. Anyone that chooses to park and walk along the roadway does so at their own risk.

This site is coded yellow just to get your attention that viewing is only available from the side of the road.

Waterfalls of Ontario Project

This project has been online since 1999, in print since 2003, and on social since 2011. (See archives: 2003, 2012, 2018). It was the first to inventory and map Ontario's waterfalls for recreational purposes. With your continued help, it grows. Learn more...
