A good photographer can make a good photo of a mediocre waterfall. But it's also true that some waterfalls are more photogenic than others. And remember that it's not always where you are, but when. See my page of photography tips to learn what I mean.

This list identifies those waterfalls for which I've seen awesome photos taken through the years. It is subjective of course. I tend to like smaller, intimate waterfalls with lots of detail, and usually found in the woods. You may disagree, and that's OK!
