Our Responsibility
Waterfalls get closed when people are injured or ruin lands.

If you're exploring the Algoma Region, you'll no doubt be following Hwy 17. This roadside stop is a no-brainer. The falls are easily visitable from a roadside parkette. This provides easy parking and access to a short paved trail up-river, under the bridge, and up to the falls.

The waterfall is about 20 m wide and maybe 3 m high. It isn't too spectacular, but its accessible. A concrete walkway with railing takes visitors from the parking lot, under the highway and up to the top of the falls. It is probably safe to assume that there will always be flow, given the size of the watershed feeding this falls.

You can see a micro hydroelectric generating station on the far side of the river. The uppermost falls is just upstream of the bridge, while a smaller less-inspiring cascade is hidden under the bridge.
