A small, wide, very gently sloping cascade, that drops less than one metre. It is located immediately downstream of a low, wide dam. At higher flow, the bedrock is actually flooded under water and there is really no falls to speak of.
At lower flow, this really still isn't much of a falls at all. The old Austin Sawmill is situated immediately adjacent to the rapids, and helps to imrpove interest for a photo. I have not visited this site in a very long time, and can't remember if you can get close to the rapids. Please do not trespass; this site does not give you permission to do so.
Parking is available in the grounds for the Kinmount Farmer's Market. A trail leads south about 250 m to the mill. This project chose the name Kinmount Cascade for this place as a placeholder. I'm not aware of this term being used beforehand. If you are aware of a proper name, please let me know.
