This is a second waterfall at Kakabeka, quite unlike it's giant neighbour upstream. It's on a small tributary of the Kaministiquia, so this is not simply a "Lower" falls. A steep washboard waterfall that tumbles over an exposure of shale.

Reaching this waterfall requires a hike of about 30 mins south along the west side of the Kaministiquia River. I believe that are signs and park maps. It's not a major draw, but would be known to park employees.

This trip will give you a view of the bed of the big river well downstream of the falls, as well as of the hydroelectric station, sitauted on the far side of the river. I recall that there were some hills along this route; passable by most, but not an easy walk in the park.
