A small waterfall that tumbles right into a bay of the Muskoka River, just after the river has fallen over High Falls. It can be hard to get a head-on shot of this waterfall unless you are int the Muskoka Bay. The flip side is that it is possible for some visiitors to rockhop right across the top of the falls to reach trails on the other side. The more photogenic Potts Falls is located about 100 m upstream.

* I could sure use an updated image of this waterfall. Do you have one that you could contribute to this project, with credit to you as the photographer?

For some time there has been some disagreement between the names of the two falls. This project considers the lower falls to be Little High Falls. The logic behind this is that a person sitting in the Muskoka River would see a big High Falls and little High Falls, almost side by side, though on different watercourses.

This falls (and Potts Falls) are mere steps from the much larger High Falls. Any visit to this site will no doubt include all three waterfalls. Keep in mind that many people visit High Falls without even knowing the two smaller falls exist. From the fence overlooking High Falls, just walk back along the paved driveway for about 100-125 m. A path leads into the woods to a footbridge over Potts Falls; LIttle High Falls is about 100 m downstream.

Alternatively, careful visitors often use the shortcut route through the woods, right near the rock outcrop at the end of the safety fence for High Falls. This includes a steep decline, but is managable by most people.
