About Low Falls
Compared to Onaping High Falls, this cascade, about 3.5 km upstream on the Onaping River, certainly is low. But it can still be a nice spot to visit. Unlike it's big brother downstream, you are likely to be the only visitor here. Access is via a trail that starts on the north side of Hwy 144 at the end of the railway spur. The trail winds north through the Onaping River valley for about 1.6 km to the base of the falls. The total elevation drop is only about 2 m. A somewhat shorter route may exist from the north, but would require crossing the railway tracks.
