This is not a major waterfall destination by any means. It's hardly a minor one! But if you are in the area and trying to see all the little falls along Papineau Creek, this is one of them.

The pretty little rapids is set at the edge of the woods, where the creek daylights and flows towards a culvert under Hastings Rd 62. Anyone choosing to get a closer look would have to scramble down the hill beside the road, and make their way through some brush and uneven ground to reach the river. Not too hard, but the reward is limited. I do find that the rapids is prettier up close than from the road.

The good news is that everyone else can spot the rapids from the side of the road. It is possible to park about 100 m to the east, beyond the guardrail, where the shoulder is wider. Anyone that chooses to do this should be careful of traffic.

The Crown Land Atlas shows that this area is surrounded by a small patch of crown land. To be clear, the creek itself is shown on private lands but this is because it follows an unopened road alloance. I have not explored the rapids further upstream from the road; it is possible that some real rock drops exist. The crown land only extends a short ways pstream from the road.
