Our Responsibility
Waterfalls get closed when people are injured or ruin lands.

Please don't trespass, don't litter, and stay on the trail.

One of a number of small cascades along the South Muskoka River. This is nothing like the big (or even medium-sized) waterfalls found elsewhere in Muskoka. It's quite small, but of course this keeps the crowds away.

The falls are behind a row of cottages that front on to Sherwood Forest Rd. I have been told that there is an access route (laneway or easement) between cottages in the 1260 block of Cridiford Rd. However, this has not been confirmed and I haven't visited myself. Please don't trespass; this website doesn't give you permission to do this.

This is a great waterfall to visit by canoe or kayak. This helps you to avoid the private property rimming the river. I've been told that the total time from the access point on Purbrook Rd is about 40 minutes. The bonus is that you can pass Crozier Falls on the way! Please adhere to any signs about portaging around Crozier Falls. I have been told that there is a portage on the west (left) side.

Waterfalls of Ontario Project

This project has been online since 1999, in print since 2003, and on social since 2011. (See archives: 2003, 2012, 2018). It was the first to inventory and map Ontario's waterfalls for recreational purposes. With your continued help, it grows. Learn more...
