This was once a more significant waterfall. Like many in central Ontario, it has been modified to produce hydroelectricity. The falls now serves mostly as a spillway for excess water that can't be fed through the power plant.
The cascade is partially hidden behind the medium-sized power plant. I haven't visited the site but have seen lots of people post photos that show the falls.
This can put on a real show in spring, when there is too much flow for the hydro plant. I've also seen photos taken in summer; water levels drop dramatically, but there was still some flow over the falls. Just be sure to manage your expectations in summer or fall; it could be dry.
You can park up the road, above a chain blocking vehicular access to the road. A canoe portage leads to the river, and may provide a distant view of the falls and hydro plant.
This site is coded yellow because the view isn't very good. You may need to look through a chain link fence. It's also possible that access is limited; hydro plants don't always want people wandering around.
