I have not visited this site yet. This is another one of the great finds promoted by Gary LeClair on his Facebook page called 'Waterfalls of Northern Ontario by Gary LeClair.' I have seen photos that make this look like it would be a great find during spring, when water levels are high. The falls are at least 10 m high and quite steep. I've been told by another Gary that there is an upper and lower falls.

The creek has created a steep gorge, falling almost 50 m in under 300 m of distance. The area around the falls is quite steep, complete with slippery rocks.

Gary recommended not going alone. As always, you have to realize that you are responsible for your own safety. Unlike most small to medium sized waterfalls in the Canadian Shield, this actually creates the typical V-shaped pattern in the contour lines that we normally see at waterfalls along the Niagara Escarpment. This probably means that the bedrock in this area is more easily eroded than most places on the Canadian Shield.

This waterfall is marked yellow because it is somewhat remote and is located in rough terrain. Also, note that the parking coordinates are on a road that was not part of the google street network as of 2023. The road appears to be wide and well-engineered, and is likely a logging road. The falls is located about 45 mins north from Capreol.

At the following coordinates, it looks like I would have to turn left on to an unnamed road (46.9406, -80.8598). After about 2.5 km the road reaches the shore of Overhead Lake on the left. Immediately after, it crosses s a creek. The falls are about 350 m downstream on this creek. Another small falls is encountered about half way along. Gary noted that the trail is very rough, and was marked with flagging tape. You should stay close to the creek so as not to get lost!
