Our Responsibility
Waterfalls get closed when people are injured or ruin lands.

Please don't trespass, don't litter, and stay on the trail.
Warning: Waterfalls are dangerous - You aren't permitted to use this site unless you read, understand and accept the Website Disclaimer

This impressive waterfall is big, nasty and difficult to reach. It is located along the border with the United States. If you have a passport, save yourself the trouble and visit from Minnesota. The drive is just 30 minutes past the border at Hwy 61. A trail on the American side is much easier and only several hundred metres long.

On the Canadian side, things are a totally different story. Access requires a true Jeep that can drive about 10 km of poor quality back "roads". Even then, there is a long hike of several km involved.

A few members of our Facebook group have visited this site, but in each case, I consider them to be more extreme adventurers. I would defintely not try this route on my own. My SUV wouldn't handle it.

Waterfalls of Ontario Project

This project has been online since 1999, in print since 2003, and on social since 2011. (See archives: 2003, 2012, 2018). It was the first to inventory and map Ontario's waterfalls for recreational purposes. With your continued help, it grows. Learn more...
