This is probably the easiest of the small waterfalls to find in the Haliburton Forest and Wildlife Reserve. This is a beautiful privately owned reserve for which you can gain access for the day. See their web site.
The falls can be reached following a very short hike past the end of the road. The yellow stars are given because the forest can be difficult to navigate. If you ask at the gatehouse they should konw this one; it's at the upstream end of Pelaw Lake.
Many of the "roads" in the reserve are passable by a regular car, but are not well signed at all. It would be very easy to get temporarily lost in here. Particularly beautiful in the fall. It's hard to get a head-on shot because the river spreads into a bay right after the rapids.
This site is coded yellow because I can't recall the exact way to get to this falls. With a guide, the waterfalls in the Wildlife Reserve are easy to find. It would be possible to get turned around in the woods.
The Pelaw Rapids are the easiest to find in this forest. The directions button takes you to the end of a road that I believe will grade into a trail. This means that you might not be able to drive all the way to this point.
