This is a very small cascade on a very small side channel just west of the main channel and lock. Only a small portion of the river's flow makes it's way through this channel, after first having passed through a concrete box culvert. it encounters a small outrcrop of rock and makes for a small rock rapids.

This is a very minor site of limited interest, but, is one of the first ones on a trip north, and not far off the highway. As April shows in her photograph, you can still make pleasing images at sites like this.

Just to the east, you can also view Lock 45 of the Trent-Severn Waterway as well as a long water level control dam through which most of the flow passes. Be advised that parking is limited to the pay lot beside the lock.
