Our Responsibility
Waterfalls get closed when people are injured or ruin lands.

This small cascade is found immediately downstream of the Hwy 17 bridge. I have not visited, and to be clear, it is small. This is likely only of interest to those trying to bag as many waterfalls as possible.

The Waterfalls of Ontario Project recommends against parking or stopping on the side of any busy highway. This poses a risk that isn't worth taking.

There is a dirt pull-off on the north side of the highway, just east of the bridge. This may be a private drive. On the left side of this dirt pulloff, however, there is dirt 'laneway' that parallels the highway and probably ends near the river, just 60 m away. The laneway is close enough to the highway that it is almost certainly in the road allowance. A guardrail separates the laneway from the highway.

The cascade is on the opposite side of the bridge. Since this is a fairly high bridge, I suspect that visitors can simply walk underneath when river flows allow this to be done safely. But anyone that chooses to follow this route does so at their own risk. If you visit, please let me know what you find.

Frank's photo is also found on Google maps. He lives in my city and provided permission for me to use it.
