This is a small, but interesting sinuous slope cascade that falls in several segments. The total fall is maybe 3 or 4 metres. The falls can be seen from the small bridge on Fox Lake Road, very near the suggested parking coordinates. The falls are about 150 m upstream from the road, and the view here is very limited.
Two different members of our Facebook Group each 'found' this waterfall. One hiked up along the east side of the river, while the other hiked up the west side. At this point, I don't know which one is easier, but I hope to find out soon.
This waterfall is along the route to the better-known, but still seldom-visited falls called "The Ladders". Both falls are located on Pumphouse Creek; The Ladders are about 4 km downstream. I elected to call this site the Pumphouse Creek Cascade because it is smaller than The Ladders, and I didn't want the name to imply that this site is THE Falls on Pumphouse Creek. There are other places where I reserve the term "Falls" for the main site, and "Cascade" for a lower, less significant fall.
The waterfall is coded yellow only because this road is somewhat remote. It's actaully not that far from civilization at Windy Lake Provincial Park, and it could be coded green. But the yellow coding is intended to get your attention just so you take a second look at the setting. The hike from the road is only a few minutes, although there is no well-developed trail.
There may well be a local name; if you know of one, please help to set the record straight.
