This is a small plunge-type wooded waterfall just off the Bruce Trail. It's seldom visited and fairly small, yet pretty and just long of a hike for a young family to enjoy.
The falls gets some of its water from the drainage from a quarry several kilometres to the west. If the quarry is looking for rock below the water table, they may be dewatering all year round, which in turn means that this little creek may be more relialble in flows than many others of similar size.
Parking is available along the side of Fifth Ave, right after turning in from Victoria Avenue. While the road continues east, visitors can't drive on it because it is a privately owned road.
Visitors can hike down the lane because it also doubles as the Bruce Trail. At the end of the road, the route continues east into the woods as a trail. The total hike is about 800 m; the end of the gravel road is about 1/3 of the distance.
