Our Responsibility
Waterfalls get closed when people are injured or ruin lands.

Please don't trespass, don't litter, and stay on the trail.

This sizeable cascade is found at the southern outlet of Lower Richie Lake. It is preceded by a water level control dam that maintains the lake levels. The entire area is within the RIver Aux Sauble Provincial Park, with one exception.

On the east side of the river, just downstream from the falls, the land belongs to the Lower Ritchie Lake Resort. I've been told that there are good views of the falls from the resort property, although permission to access must be secured first.

I have not visited this site. According to the Crown Land Atlas, the resort does not own all of the land up to the falls. Thus, but driving past the resort and parking near the bridge, you may be able to access the waterfall up close. The drive is about 90 minutes each way from Hwy 17.
