Even though southwestern Ontario has few waterfalls, we are lucky to have this one. It is probably the smallest falls to be scored with four stars. There is lots to do here. The falls are perhaps 7 m high, and create a plunge form waterfall due to the different erosion rates of weak and resistant layers.
The gorge is easily accessed by a solid wooden staircase, although the last flight of stairs is gated off during the winter. In summer you can freely roam about the base of the gorge. Use caution, because the rock surface is uneven and can be slippery.
This waterfall is featured in the 'Waterfalls of Ontario' book. Please pick up a copy to learn more. This helps to support this project.
