When this stream is flowing, this is a reasonable looking falls. It would be nicer were it not for the large grey concrete culvert sitting in the notch at the top of the bedrock. But this is par for the course for many of the urbanized waterfalls in Hamilton. Worth checking out during wetter periods of the year if you are tired of the more popular falls in the city.
The falls really aren't set up for visiting. The waterfall is hidden in the woods, behind a stone wall.
Again, like many of the smaller waterfalls in Hamilton, these are fed by storm drains. Planners and engineers that designed this part of the city wanted to bury the streams to get more space to build. Falls like this one were merely considered as a cheap way to get stormwater over the side of the mountain. Over time, hopefully more of them will be revitalized for visiting.
I have no idea how to access the base of the waterfall. It may be unsafe to do so. Please check the excellent websites about Hamilton's waterfalls.
