It takes about 2 hours to paddle to this location at the west outlet of Stormy Lake. Water levels in the lake are held up by this low dam. The rapids are immediately below the dam.
The driving directions lead to a parking lot on the south shore of Stormy Lake, for convenience.
I've seen photos of a much narrower, slightly steeper rapids here too. I'm not sure if they are right below the dam, or at a second whitewater section about 300 m downstream
