This is a very small rapids that gurgles out of the woods along Hwy 593. It isn't much of a falls, but is a high value stop. This is because you can sit and enjoy it, even photograph it, without leaving your car!
The creek tumbles out of the woods straight for the little parking area, before making a hard turn off to your left right before reaching the road. Watch for a little parking area on the west side of the road, across the road from an embankment.
The topographic map includes two waterfall symbols at this location. There is a small cascade at the top of the section that can be seen from the road. Is the second symbol signifying a larger falls just upstream around the bend and out of view from the road? One thing is for sure, if it isn't within 100 m of the road, it doesn't exist. This is because the river soon becomes a long section of flatwater, meanding through a wetland for over a kilometer upstream.
