A very low and wide waterfall/rapids that has a very low gradient, but lots of rock and boulders breaking the surface. I've not visited, but have been told that it can be accessed from Highland Creek Road, and then turn south on a narrow unnamed road (sort of) located at 45.248, -77.273. This road goes south to the river, but it may require hiking for part of the route. It reaches the river downstream of the falls, and a hike upstream would be required.
This is in the Lower Madawaska River Provincial Park. There are a large number of named rapids along the Madawaska River. Very few have road access, but they are frequently encountered by people paddling down the river. If you have photos and tips about any of them, I'd appreciate hearing from you.
The driving directions lead to the intersection of the unnamed road mentioned above, where it departs from Highland Creek Rd. I have not visited this site before and will try to update this page once more information is available. Please research other resources and bring a GPS with you if you attempt to find this spot by land.
