The falls are on a channel that drains from Slide Lake to Buck Lake. The total fall between the two lakes is about 9 m, although the falls only account for part of this drop.
Access to the falls requires a significant hike. The short-cut alone is 5km, but is a reasonable hike for most active adults. Parking is available on Perth Rd, at the coordinates specified in the driving directions.
The Rideau Trail leads generally to the west for almost 2 km before making a strong bend to the northeast. This becomes the Slide Lake Loop, and continues northeast for another 2.5 km or so, running between Slide Lake and Buck Lake.
NOTE: The coordinates for this waterfall are approximate. I am reasonably confident that these point to the falls as shown on aerial photography. But someone that provided me with some original coordinates had them about 400 m further north along the trail. The falls are somewhere along this stretch.
